I have had a problem with the hydrolic pump for the Steering/Hydroboost whining when it gets below 10*F I have had this with previous vehicles but this one seems to be the worst, and takes FOREVER to warm up and go away, lately, i could drive it for 30+ mins and it will still have a slight whine to it if its really cold out. Fluid is full also. Dealer says its normal  should there be anything I should look for or worry about? Would it be a bad idea to run a lighter weight sythetic in the colder months?

Also, my brakes have reciently changed a little as well, when I apply pressure, I get a quick bounce back in the pedal, but only for a quick sec, then its fine, what would cause this?

Lastly, Tire place a few months ago (when doing the alignment) said my steering box was going south, that it had 3 dead spots in it. I dont really notice it all that much, but since they said somthing, i do now notice there is 3 spots that is sorta "skips" for lack of a better word. This a big deal, or not worry about it?

thanks, Matt

I can't help with the gearbox issue but Valvoline makes a snythetic blend PS fluid that will fix your problems with the PS pump. I prefer to run Royal Purples full snythetic PS fluid.
