I had the cold weather idle TSB done to my truck back last April but it never worked, one dealer wanted $40 to turn it on but that was only after I brought him the TSB so he could understand what I was talking about, I decided not to let them do it. Called around the last few weeks some shops were too busy some had no clue but I stopped at one on the way home yesterday and they said bring it right in. I ended up waiting 45 minutes and then having to listen to the tech tell me my truck has all the latest updates and doesn't need any, I told him that I already knew that and that I just needed the cold idle function enabled. Needless to say he told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that he'd been doing it for 10 years. Ended up getting him to turn his computer on, found out he wasn't even looking at the right TSB, I convinced him to read the right one showed him how to enable the program with the DRB III. While I was waiting for him to finish up I told the service manager he needed to pay me for teaching his tech how to do his job, they ended up not charging me for the work and this morning she idled up to 1200 rpm just like it was supposed to. I can't wait to hear the 3 cylinder shutdown. If anyone around the Albany, NY area wants this TSB done Ken Gowey Dodge in Latham now knows what it is and how to do it.
