Would you install a 160 degree thermostart if you had my truck, its a 2007 6. 7 single rear wheel 6 six speed with 5 inch exhasut, cat and dpf deleted and smarty jr me installed?? I never liked the 200 degress is ran out and figured since i am deep south texas with 96 degree temps right now i could help the engine by trying to find and source a 160 degree thermostat to let the engine run cooler?? Does anybody know what temp stat is in the truck now and where can i get a lower temp one and a part number??? I am so happy now with my truck egr deleted and 5 inch flowpro along with the smarty me, if anybody is on the fence do it asap and enjoy the truck instead of worrying about when it will plug up and leave you on a tow hook to the inconpent dealer techs who spew the factory line and wont tell you the truth, its a inherently flawed system that does not work and only clogs up over and over and fills up your motor and our air with polution. Next on the list is a front axle conversion to free wheeling hubs for more mileage and a south bend clutch to hold the engine on something more than the 30 hp i have to run it on to keep from slipping with the dual mass junker factory slipper thats still in it.

Do a little more reasearch on T-stats. your engine will wear better at a higher temp!. See how hot the Nascar boys like to run,it will make your engine last. !Oo.

Engine was designed to run 200 deg. It will last longer and be more fuel efficient running at this temp. jmho. Your mileage must have improved considerably with the deletes.
