coleman lantern globe

Anyone buy a replacement globe for an older coleman white gas lantern lately ? I just bought one and it isnt a very good fit. The old one was a little loose, but the match holes were fully open with the globe on. With this new one, the edge of the globe covers up half of the match hole.

Probably not too many people know what you are talking about....ask about the generator on it, if you really want to puzzle them

Probably the new globes are made for a(new) style lantern. Not many of us old folks still running the old gas burners. Most are propane or LED now. If you really want to mess with them, ask them how far are you supposed to turn that needle valve thingy. I still have the Co2 cartridge adapter on 1 of mine(no pumping, just fill with gas and activate cartridge).

I have my dads 1959 model 200A single mantle. It gets used several times per year. I also use our 2 burner Coleman gas stove when we can beans and corn. It nice to boil the water outside to keep the heat out of the house.
