Collecting WVO in cold weather

Any ideas? Forcast is calling for wet snow later this week so we need some ideas quick. Right now we have 2 55 gallon drums that we leave at the restaurant and we use a small gasoline powered pump to transfer the WVO into a tank on my truck. I have a feeling this isn't going to work for long. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Can you pick up the barrels, that is, swap for empties? Maybe you could build a little "sun room" at home for you WVO barrels. Basically an insulated box with a plexiglas "face" that lets the sun shine in. This might warm it enough to pump.

Most of the problem will be the from the ground once it's cold the oil will suck the cold from the ground did not have a problem last year till mid Jan and I live in Montana.

Get the drums up off the ground this will help some the next is getting it out.

the way I am trying is to heat it up with a band heater and a insulation blanket to hold the heat in.

I use an RV water pump. It is 12V so I can run it off the truck battery. I was able to pump all year last year. The "good" grease is at the top so only draw that off. The top layer makes better winter fuel as it has a lower cloud point.

Thanks guys, i'll try your ideas. And for a little update, October 13th, 2 feet of snow. The cummins had its first and hopefully last meeting with the ditch.
