Merry Christmas to All!!

Hi, folks. Just moved back to the Springs after a couple year stint in Vegas. I would like to find a KNOWLEDGEABLE CTD shop to do some work on my 96, 12v, auto, 4x4. I would also like to become involved in a local chapter. Is there one here?

there is/was a colorado chapter but there hasn't been much activity lately in terms of events. As for a shop, i dont really know of anything down in your area... i think there is a few good ones north of you in the greeley/ft. collins area.

The best I can do is Castle Rock. It is off the Wilcox/ Wolfensberger exit on the west side of I-25, north of Wolfensberger and it is next to a place that sell trailers (can't miss the trailers). Don't hold me to the name, but I believe it is Colorado Diesel.

Hey! Thanks guys. Guess I'll be making a SHORT "road trip" and renting a vehicle in the near future. As the truck is my only transportation, I still need to get to work and my only day off is Sundays now. Too bad the Springs, with all it's Military folk, doesn't have a Chapter, (or maybe that's the reason, too transient... ). I'll be heading N to Denver THIS weekend for a bit because my daughter is getting ready to move to the East Coast and needs "Dear Ole' Dad" to help with a few final items. I'll look at CR on the way up.
Again, THANKS! Mayhaps in the future when "ya-all" have an event I'll head up you're way. PS. I used to have a bunch of info in my sig but since I had to "re-join" last year I just haven't fixed up this new account.

Colorado Diesel is now Douglas County Diesel, Tyler sold out sometime last year. James the mechanic is still there. The trailer lot went out of business, well it moved down to the Springs I think. Get off on Wolfensberger head west to Caprice go north on Caprice to Caprice Court (the last street on right) go to the end of Caprice court last unit on the left. 185 caprice ct 303-660-9986

Another place I have found that I like quite a bit is Performance Car and Truck now it is way up on I-70 and Ward Rd but Rob knows his stuff well. 303-278-8038

The local chapter has been pretty low key the last few years. I think the current Rocky Mtn chapter President is actually in the Springs area. IIRC he goes by MADMAX and has done at least one sweet ramcharger ctd conversion as well as has a pretty nice 1st gen.

Oh by the way welcome back to the area

Welcome back JMC - I'm Sam and yes I'm the RMTDR Pres, however the fellas are right that there hasn't been much activity in here and that is due likely in large part to my lack of participation and event generation. We're building a house and my work has been tiresome, so my time has been stretched quite thin - I haven't done much of anything even my own projects, and to all my TDR brothers and sisters I am truly sorry for my lack of leadership. Between loving married life, trying to enjoy the toys, and building the house, I'm happy to relenquish my role if someone's up to the challenge and has the energy and time. However... in time I'll get back in the saddle and I'm happy to restoke the fire and generate some big smoke signals again. The RMTDR Chapter has some seriously good folks and some seriously strong rigs, and I'd love to try to get the ball rolling again.

That said, I'd definitely like to get a 'Springs local gig together and do a big rig lunch meet-and-greet. My wife and I own three Cummins rigs (all 1st gen-powered) and we'll try to bring all three... . but we'll need to borrow a driver or two:-laf. Once the house is up I may re-start my wrench days at the ranch - doing pumps and tune-ups, etc. We've had some fun gigs in the past.

One thing I'd really like to get back into is a Christmas Party. Maybe I can honcho that or delegate to someone who has some time to devote to it?? Anyone want to work it?

Anyways, yes there is a chapter and yes there are great folks in it, and yes... it needs a jump start. So, I'll try to pump it back up, and with y'alls help we'll get 'er rolling.

Ha! Ha! How are you George?? We need to catch up! How's the truck doing? Any new toys/stuff? Trips planned? I've had a whirlwind past 7 months that I'm still trying to rein in!!
