I am currently in the process of selling my 2001. 5 CTD to a local guy here and I am looking for a dealer in Colorado Springs to buy a 6 speed HO. What dealer has been fair and will negotiate on price? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Greg

Hey Greg,

How about Desert Dodge in vegas. They are much closer and am told have a great supply of trucks on the lot. They should be able to work w/you on the calif thing.

Best regards

DD

Don't know about the Springs, but I'm a fan of Johnson Auto Plaza in Brighton. Talk to Linda or Kathy in the Fleet dept.

Dave

Greg: Try John Elway Dodge on Arapahoe, they have 3 diffrent web sites to choose from, also Costco car discount deals are OK

One thing if you are going to register in CO check the county for

Smog or no smog. . in my county no smog and no cat. converter ect

the man I delt with was Bill Muler. I have nothing to do with any Dodge dealers! GWD

Ditto what DHess said. I have bought my last two trucks from Johnson and used Kathy once and Linda once. Everything went very well, no problems. Last time I used them was when I bought the 01 so it is possible things have changed.

I bought mine from Advantage Dodge in Farmington New Mexico. Just across the border. Great experience and price. PM me if you have questions. .

I second DHess and Barry. Kathy and the rest of the Fleet Sales staff was great to work with last May when I purchased my 2002 truck. They gave me a fair price (fell about in the middle of 7 or 8 price quotes I had from various dealers, including some of the well known "volume" dealers like Dave Smith, etc) and they where only a 30 minute drive away. I particularly welcomed their NO sales pressure ethic. I let them know first off I was very well versed in Dodge trucks... . so they told me to look around the lot and when I saw something or had any questions they would be in the office (it's sure nice to look at, crawl under, pop the hood, etc trucks without a sales person on your heels). I also enjoyed thier attitude on test driving trucks. They did not tag along, just simply handed me the keys and say go enjoy yourself, just be back before closing. :D

Providing things have not changed I would buy from them again and highly recommend Jonhsons Auto Plaza in Brighton.

I have a truck on order at John Elway Dodge Southwest @ 7980 W Tufts Ave, Denver. I'm dealing with Don Ziminski, fleet sales, and I'm paying invoice with no haggle whatsoever and very good to work with. They also honor the avaliblity of rebates, at order or at delivery, which ever is better. WIN WIN. If you call tell him Harold Scott sent you you might even do better then I did. Hope it helps.

Thanks WScott,

I am going to send my dad up there this week. You said they will let you order one too, right? I want a Regular cab, 4x4, HO, cab and chassie. Did you happen to see or know of one? Thanks again guys, Greg

Within the Springs itself, I got a better deal on my '01 at Carlin Dodge than at Perkins Dodge.

For warranty work however, Perkins has a couple of Diesel techs on staff- I don't think Carlin knows what a diesel is! ;)

Greg, they would actually prefer that you order as apossed to buying off the lot. I have not been to the dealership yet since I'm in California, so no I didn't notice if they had any cab and chassies. I ordered a HO and can't do that here. My brother lives there and I plan on registering it there. But as I said before, give Don Ziminski a call and see what he can do for you. Let me know it he is able to help you out to your satisfaction.
