Thanks, TDR Staff

I've decided that I need a few days off...

Happy B-Day 3atatime....

Hey everyone,

Forget about speed, wheelies and burn outs and think beer! Jesse James goes from master fabricator to master brewer as he teams up with the brew masters from Coors (That's me) and Stone Brewing Company to convert an old fire truck into a monster brewery.

To bad it was a gas 1962 International Harvester! I did get to see the Peterbuilt trike up close. Jesse had some work done to the engine and he says it's a blast to ride.

I was there on the build team for 5 days. I also went out for the last day of filming for the challenge. We took the fire truck brewery to a beer festival so people could sample our beer and get sprayed with a fire hose of beer.

Be sure to set your VCRs or TEVO or watch it live.

I had a couple o' Coors last night and saw the chopper on thier new label and was wondering what the connection was... this 'splains it! Kinda' wish I had cable.

I'll be the guy with a baseball cap Coors shirt and a goatee. I've seen a few adds for the show and they look pretty cool. I've had a few friends call from all over the country call to tell me they saw the adds as well..... stay tuned Monday night.

Jesse James is a Coors Spokesperson that's why the Monster Garage called Coors and they sent me as the brewery expert. The Jesse James / Coors bike is part of a give away. You could win the bike if you enter the contest.

The catch is according to Jesse' "I didn't want some Grandma from Iowa who just sent in her name on a postcard to win" The deal is 4 or 5 winners will have their names draw. Then they will have to go to West Coast Choppers and get a welding lesson from Jesse. Finally, they will all be challenged to built something which Jesse will destroy the strongest welds wins the bike.

Keep drinking the Coors... I'll work on a TDR member discount :)

Sandbrew,

Tonight is the big night of your world television premier! Maybe you'll get a sitcom or something out of this. I'll be watching.

Glad you all enjoyed the show.

Overall it was a few very cool experience. Jesse was cool to work with on the show. He spent 4 out of 5 days working with us. I actually got to hang with him a few times. I made a total of 4 trips to MG. One to build and brew 7 days. Then I came back 10 days later 4 days to keg the beer and clean up the truck and brewery. I went back 3 weeks ago for 3 days to brew the second batch and then last week for 5 days to keg the 2nd beer and hang out at the beer fest.

I made two beers, a red ale for the first batch and a hoppy pale ale for the second batch. Both turned out pretty good all things considered. We served the pale ale at the fest. We had 3 leftover kegs from the first brew that we sprayed out the fire hose. Luckily I was on the dry end of the hose running the flow control on the pump when Jesse was spraying people.

Great build and it was really fun seeing the Monster Garage back to building something useful. Good job on the brew! I love how Jesse calls it the way he sees it.

Q. Do you like it here in Mamouth?

A. No, it looks like a place full of hippy backpackers. :-laf

OO-

I see that you are from Mammoth Lakes. I hope that you didn't take my Jesse quote the wrong way. If you read my signature, I am an old 'Hippy Backpacker' myself and would much rather live in Mammoth than the Silicon Valley. :D Were you able to make the festival?

I thought it was pretty funny when he said that but way off the mark these days. Might have been close 10 years ago before the price of everything in town doubled.

I would of gone to the festival :D(booza palooza):D but I didn't know monster garage was going to be there until I saw the show. The first year they had the event at the new site it was a little cramped and the lines for the bathrooms were way to long for an all you can drink beer festival so I haven't tried going again. I heard it wasn't to bad this year so they must of figured it out.

Sandbrew,

I finally got to see the firetruck at the brew fest. Oo. You guys did a great job!

By the way, are you John who works at Sandlot?

If so, I feel silly for not putting that together. I met you at the fest. I am a good friend of Kevin (from Sandlot).
