You can only stay inside so much even if it is full blown winter...

Cooking hot dogs over the fire at 20° with some wind chill as well...

All good..

Mike,

Looks real nice, good times.

Your fire box, looks like Lincoln log style interlocking joints. Is that close to correct?

We go junking down here once in a while, I can't tell you how many runner sleds we've seen for sale pointed at and kept on walking. Taking a running start dropping the Flexible Flyer down in front and jumping on for a chin first run down the hill trying to steer. That was good stuff.

Gary

It was 79 here yesterday.

Mike you don't have snow machines ? living in Maine I thought it was a requirement to keep the winter-time-blues away

We used to, but our winters have not been that great for trail riding...so you have to trailer them further North. Then the maintenance......

Also God needs to be in your back pocket when out on the trails with the out of staters on the latest, greatest 200 horse rocket going 50 mph on a trail that is only good for about 20 mph. When it got to the point that I needed rear view mirrors on my Mach 1 so I didn’t get over taken by surprise I called it quits and sold them off...

Im sorry to see that happen in Maine as it has everyplace I guess. Maine in particular Loring AFB was a great place to rehab, living on base I had access to ???? 's miles of forest on base and I can't fathom how many off base. Not having enough snow never entered my mind I just opened the back door pull the tarp off the sled fire it up and would ride into Caribou or Limestone to do whatever shopping I needed to do more for the ride than anything else the base really had everything one could possibly need.

There’s a bigger difference in the weather between Loring and Bangor than there is between R.I. and Bangor. It’s why my Uncle moved there. He couldn’t take the winters in Ft. Fairfield any more.

BN, how do you like the Egg? A couple of our friends say they are the best...and you can bake a pizza on it too?

Having it for only a short time we haven't done much cooking on it, we've done steaks a 7 bone roast and ribs, all were excellent. We like to grill veggies this egg can do it all at once on different levels within the egg. We're dying to try out the ceramic stand that we fill with beer slip the chicken over it and cook it, we had a metal stand and used a can of beer I was Leary of the aluminum can giving off something not good to be ingesting got one for turkey size also. We use the Cowboy Hardwood lump coal from Costco and think its much better than the old fashion Kingsford. We have a nice Propane grill that has been great, when we moved to IN it seems like we get a propane taste to whatever we'er cooking don't know if its the different propane from another area of the country or what. SO FAR SO GOOD

Had a Birthday Party for the youngest grandson today. Rain and a few warm days turned the sliding trail into glare ice.
Kids are going waaay out on the lake now. Wife got some lights strung, will add more tomorrow..
