I know i,m asking for it but here goes. I plan on pulling about 25k total with trailer andvehicles behind truck. I,m not looking for seat of the pants acceleration but rather pure power up hills in western KS. My truck is a 99 3500 4x4 410,s 5spd. I installed a mopar ecm with a VA box and lost the muffler. Works OK but looking for more. Would like to go just to the limits of turbo and clutch. I have 80k on the truck and just put 1st clutch in it. Looking for advice on what combo would best serve my needs without going overboard[yet] . It,s a 8 to 9 hour pull to get jeeps to the mountains so mileage is a plus. Any help out there? Thanks

Try a Piers cam they are built to help with towing. They also help open up the power band. Spool up is much faster as well. Least wise thats my take on it & I have the cam. PS while installing the cam we found that my 99 had the dreaded killer dowel pin just about to drop and make a mess of things. Best money I have spent on upgrades so far. Oo.

I think injectors would help you a lot. A set of DD2's would give you the extra that you are looking for and may help your mileage some.
