I thought some of the guys are combining the boxes - since I only have a VA and am about to buy a Deluxe Blue Box Wizard Fuel Management System. what do I do with the VA?????

How do you tell?????

Old Style - how do you tell? Also, do theses things have a life expectancy, i. e. eventually they fail?

I combine the VA with an Edge 3 level box, but I don't see the point of combining the fuel/EGT management type box. I would think it would just begin to defuel sooner. Combining the VA with the basic fueling box that taps the pump wire and MAP sensor only is a little like running bigger injectors and a fueling box. I'm sure its not as friendly for the VP44 though, since it's pushing more fuel through the little injector holes.

if that blue box doesn't not include a timing feature then you should be able to stack it with no problems .

old vs new , how long ago did you buy it ?

staking the 2 should hurt the VP44 anymore than just running a wire tap fueling box , these are what helped along failures on the early 24v engines . .

I say keep the VA and stack it with your Blue Chip.

Last I heard, even the new Blue Chip box doesn't have the timing box built into it (the Edge Comp is the only box on the market that is a fueling box and timing box built ino one). I also heard that Blue Chip is now making a timing box that you can stack with the fueling box if you want. So I'd say since you already have it, just keep it and use it. Quite a few guys doing that kind of setup.

The way to tell old version from the new version... either the box is made of aluminum or plastic. Aluminum is the old version, the plastic is the new.

Keep 'em Both!!! I am running the Blue chip Prem , Old School Va , ddIII's PDR 35 (Amongst other stuff) and the two work well together! Click profile for more.

The Va keeps on top of the pump timing and the BC kicks up the flavor in 63 settings (three sub setting per % which are Less smoke , "Normal , More Perf)

I think Chip has his own timing box for sale now.
