I think I have decided to go with the A pillar single gauge mount with grab handle from Geno's. The question is, does anyone else make a combo boost/EGT gauge other that Westach? I prefer analog but digital may be OK

Westach is the only one I've seen. I've used the combo boost/egt on my last two CTD's. Over five years and no problems with either. The new "white faced" ones look pretty good along with the stock gauges.

Yes. . SPA does.

Kinda spendy but they are real nice IMO. User selectable led warning, high number recall and the EGT gauge can double as a cool down devise are just a few of the features.

I have the SPA boost/pyro combo and I really like them. The only problem I have with it is the high number recall because it stores the spikes in boost/EGT because their sample rate is so fast. Sometimes they look scary, but I know they are not sustained numbers, so I am not worried.

Ron,

You might want to change the averaging time for the boost channel. That will help with the high spikes. I use a boost channel to measure rail pressure and this helps with that too.

I think they come with it set a 400ms and you could try using 1. 0 or even 1. 5 sec.

1Tufdsl,

I did it myself. Spent a lot on the gauges, but too cheap to have someone else install. I really don't know who I would have do it, either. I plan to change the thermocouple location sometimg in the future. I want to put it post turbo.

Matt400,

Yeah, I suppose that would be the thing to do. Ignorance is bliss. Out of sight out of mind. I might do it later after I get my FASS installed. I want to see if it will have some effect on the spikes. Another thing I am going to do myself.

Mike,

If you are set with a combo gage, I would listen to the above.

I wanted to use the SRT-10 pillar, too, but I went with traditional gages (DiPricol) - Boost on the handle and Pyro on the column (using an Autometer column mount). I have pictures in my Reader's Rig gallery if you want to see how they came out.

BTW, I did the install myself.

If you plan to bomb your truck, I would get the Edge Juice/Attitude. The Edge has guages (digital) and I'm very happy with the added power. :D

PM Kyle Graham: he can get you a great price.

where can i buy one of the SPA Digital gauges? also there web site doesn't mention the gauge working as a cooldown timer. can anyone give me some more info on one of these. thanks

i remember seeing dakota digital has a new one that is 3 read outs on one 2" gauge... boost/egt/trans...
Thats neat, I asked back in 03 if they had anything like that and they said no. Great idea for a SRT- 10 A pillar.

Just bought a Westach combo gauge. It states to drill manifold for EGT probe near number 3 cyl. Can any one post a photo of the location near 5 and 6 please.

Hrmm, I think the SPA dual gauge is a better value and more easy to read plus they come in a white face that looks more at home in a 3rd gen. Interesting option though.

This set is white faced. Said it was a new series. I mainly wanted them for cool down temp and when towing HEAVY in mountains. They'll work fine. Just need a pic of where to drill for cyls 5 and 6. Trucks going in for ac warranty repair(fin temp sensor)and going to install with the dash kinda out of the way.
