92 w-250 4x4, 518 trans. pro-torque convertor and shift kit. At about 70mph the trans will come out of o/d when you partially back off the pedal, like at the crest of a hill. I adjusted the throttle position sensor and it cured 90% of the problem. Usually did not kick down above 65mph. Is the t. p. i. on it's way out? By pass linkage is in the best spot so far. Any input appreciated. Mike.

I would check speed sensor on the transfer case. I had similar problem with mine.

On my '92, the connector connecting the harness to the TPS wasn't making good contact and making the O/D erratic. I cleaned the contacts and spread them a little to make a little tighter on the plug and it stopped the erratic O/D clutch enganing/disengaging at different speeds. You might try and see if that helps.
