I am planning on making it to stanford for the pull saturday. This will be my first hook since my winter upgrades(motor, converted to manual from auto, dana80, locker, lots of springs, and bars). Any ways i'm needing some advice on how to come out of the hole. It was pretty easy last year with the auto but this manual stuff is new to me for sled pulling and hopefully more succesful. I will be going 4low, 3rd. Should i come out at wot or only run my rpm's up so far? Wide open for me is over 4900rpm's. And the most important qustion for me is how long should i slip this clutch? I was hoping to make it to some little pulls to figure stuff out but it looks like i will just have to come to stanford and hopefull not make an a$$ of my self trying to pull for the first time with this truck.
