Competition diesel truck pull rules question

Competition what drive line

I am planning on making it to stanford for the pull saturday. This will be my first hook since my winter upgrades(motor, converted to manual from auto, dana80, locker, lots of springs, and bars). Any ways i'm needing some advice on how to come out of the hole. It was pretty easy last year with the auto but this manual stuff is new to me for sled pulling and hopefully more succesful. I will be going 4low, 3rd. Should i come out at wot or only run my rpm's up so far? Wide open for me is over 4900rpm's. And the most important qustion for me is how long should i slip this clutch? I was hoping to make it to some little pulls to figure stuff out but it looks like i will just have to come to stanford and hopefull not make an a$$ of my self trying to pull for the first time with this truck. Pullin

I would talk to the guy that did your motor and clutch, i watched him pull in person a couple of times, he knows what to do!!Oo.

Ask Dave on rpms. Slide clutch for about 50' then dump it at full throttle. Do not slide it to long, you will loose to much speed in the first 100', where you need the speed for a long pull.
