I was looking into these as well as www.bouldereng.com to see if they were compatible with WVO or biodiesel. i have seen favorable comments on other sites. i am thinking seriously buying one. probably the one from dieselcraft because they were testing with WVO with favorable results.

I don't trust it. The stabilizer is apparently "Strontium Ferrite". Do you know what "Strontium Ferrite" is? It's a MAGNET!

Hence, I believe it's snake oil. You'd be better off buying some of these.

actually. dieselcraft did not reccomend the stabilizer for WVO application. i did not plan on buying this option anyway, only the purifier.

I spent some time last night looking carefully at the purifier and reading the description. Near as I can tell, the only thing the "purifier" does is pass the fuel through a tortuous path, then dump it out the outlet port. I argue that any "centrifugal" effects in this particular unit are negligible. It contains no useful swirl generators, and no mechanical means for generating swirl. It appears to rely on the generation of vortex structures in the flow at the trailing edge of flat plates - a method I consider highly questionable for centrifugal separation of particulates. In layman's terms: they're trying to use turbulence (an inherently unstable phenomenon) to "shake out" contaminants in the fuel.

They repeatedly use the phrase "bifurcating plate". What the heck does that tell me? The only thing it tells me is that there's a plate in it that separates the container into two sections. I'd bet if you disassembled the unit the bifurcating plate is a simple wire mesh; this would allow them to legally claim a filtration capability (however poor) without actually having to design a real filter.

The whole website smells like a sophisticated attempt to hawk an unsophisticated device with little or no filtration capability using language that befuddles the intellect and clouds judgement.

Yep, it appears to be another product that may do a better job of "separating" the the green colored paper in your wallet from your wallet.
