Commercial forum please

someone mentioned this in the towing forum... could we get a forum strictly for us TDR guys who use our trucks for hire? Most of the towing and hauling forum is covered by RV topics and we loose our conversations to the bottom and archives. It would be great to be able to follow stories close about problems we may incur on our destinations without searching page after page for them. I can understand if it's not possible to do but some consideration on this would be greatly appreciated. Maybe rename the current forum "recreational towing" and the new forum "commercial towing"

Yes, great idea there CSnyder, and not just the for hire guys either. The private haulers could benefit immenesly from such a forum also!!

I'm also for this - I don't haul commercially with my pickup but am interested in the subject and would like to learn more about it.



I think with as many TDR members that do this for a living it could be justified.

Yes, we're open to creating multiple "subforums" of Towing, Hauling and RVing Forum (or some other similar structure). Provide some definition on:



1. Exactly how would you define what should be posted in the Recreational Towing, Hauling and RVing forum (1 - 2 sentences)?



2. Exactly how would you define what should be posted in the Commercial Towing, Hauling and RVing forum (1 - 2 sentences)?



3. How do we insure it is not interpreted as a forum for soliciting hauling business, but stays on task with the definitions you're creating above?

I would consider a recreational forum for anyone who is doing it for sport and to discuss things related to RV fun and questions pertaining to that.



A commercial forum should be used to discuss DOT things, safety things, and anything pertaining to towing for profit, snow plowing,etc.



To stop submissions for solicitation before it starts you could have a forum heading stating that if you post for work or hauling jobs you will be banned from TDR for a week first offense, 30 days second offense, etc. Be sure to state the classifieds are for posting towing wanted ads.
