The Big southbend sale made it time for me to change out the stocker for the Con FE. Just wondering if I should take a gamble and leave the OE rear main seal in or change and what is a good brand to use? After searching I found few threads about rear main leaks in 2nd gens, lots of 3rd gens leak though. I see some oil on my bell housing but im sure it is from the turbo return line or the rear half of the oil pan gasket I have found many loose bolts before on that one.

Comments yea or nea on replacement and whats a good brand if cummins is not availible in time.

It's less than $50 from Cummins and will take no more than an extra 30 minutes to put in if you're already there. I make the descision when I look at it personally, any weepage it get's replaced.

so it actually goes in pretty straight
I figured as big around as it is and thin that I would pucker it all up getting it in
