GM transmission Adapter?

The Piers Ford / Cummins!!!

Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has any info about putting a common rail 325hp into a 95 f350? The engine to vehicle wiring is the biggest thing. Thanks for any input. Adam

Autoworld 406 727 8915. They have repowered numerous ford's. Wiring is no big deal, you just need to sort through the harness and find the oil, temp, ignition, and starter feed. The rest will be removed or not used. I use to work for Kenny, so I know his quality of work is top end, most appear factory when he's down with them. Bank's power kits and aftermarket parts being the exception.

Hi, Thanks for the info about autoworld, I will check out there motor mounts. I will be doing all of the work myself, I just have not decided at this point what engine to use for my conversion. I know my wife would like the common rail because they are very quite, but we will see. Thanks Again. Adam

If you end up with the common rail (03 & up. . ) engine and need help with the electrical side give them a call. They partnered with another fellow a few blocks away that does the ECM reprogramming (I think they split the expense).

The throttle position sensor might be one of the challenges you'd face, plus integrating other things like alternator (the ECM controls the field coil), A/C, Cruise control, etc. can be easier if you can bounce ideas off of folks who've done it before. They've done several hundred conversions...

Whatever you end up with, it'll be fun. My 'Sub is a daily driver now!!

Does the name John sound familiar? If it is, he is a Cummins factory trained tech. He owns a diesel truck shop. If it's diesel, he's a wealth of info. He doesn't have the time to deal with repower and conversion calls thogh, it is not what his business is centered around. His shop is more involved in actual diesel repair, usually rebuilds, HP resets, and main line truck repair.

I'd still go with Kenny for info the TPS and alternator, He is on top of it last I talked to him about it. He knows where to get the answers if he doesn't have them himself. ;)

I believe you're right, though I have his card in the truck - I'd have to check. He does a lot of F**d stuff too... ;)

He and Ken work together - Ken does the conversions and he does the electrical stuff on the newer engines. So, actually, you can contact either but the work will be divided up the same.

My only point is that they're quite helpful, and have a lot of information. So, if someone's doing a conversion and working with them on some level (purchasing mounts, flashing the ECM, etc) you probably can pick their brains for the odd stuff too.

Doug was my second guess, but I wasn't sure. Either way, its a win.

You'll have a hard time finding anybody to take the time to help you out on the software and wiring issues for the newer engines. They are involved, but not impossible, just need a few more details to be addressed.
