Comp as EZ settings?

Gentlemen, thanks for the comp mounting ideas, its now installed without the pump wire tap and works GREAT but I have 2 further questions. At what level [setting] does the comp, no pump connection, perform similar to an EZ? Also without the pump connection, do the sub level settings do anything at all, or are those sub settings related to the pump wire connection? My truck makes very little smoke on any setting which leads me to think the latter. Thanks for your expertise, and no I won't tap that wire just yet, transmission mods. first, Jim G.
