I just added a Drag comp to my truck and on 2x3 I can hit 1400 in under 10sec. I have a PDRHX35, 4in exhaust and a K&N open air filters. .

Does this sound right????????

Thanks

Way Hot!!

With just a stock hx-35 I didn't have temp problems until atleast level 3. And in level 3 you would have to be going from a stop to triple digit speeds at WOT. Now I can run in level 4 before I have anything close to high temps but it still takes a while at WOT. Level 5 Gets hot in a Hurry. You're runnig a PDR-35 and shoul be in pretty good shape.

Do you have guages? If so what kind of boost are you running. With no leaks you would be pushing high 30s on your boost with the comp in any of the higher settings. Check all your intercooler boots and clamps. Try running down the road with the Comp off (Injectors Only) give us the boost number, then comp on level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4, level 5. Then report back with the peak boost numbers you recieved in each of the settings.

Your problem is not the comp, it is the comp and big injectors, plus it is a drag comp which keeps adding extra fuel after 2600 RPM's, in other words the drag comp is hotter (no pun intended). Still with what you have I wouldn't expect EGT problems until the higher settings, each truck runs different though.

WAY HOT

I pulled my test-run hill last night in 5x5 with DD3's and only hit 1400 before lifting at 90+mph. Of course I was out of fuel pressure, and I was running 36 psi of boost through the stock HX35. Maybe you're overboosting. Anything over 35-36 psi and you're "over compressing" the air. Adjust the wastegate to dump at 33-34psi on levels 1-4 and it'll hit 35-36 on level 5.

When I put the box and elbow on mine would hit 43psi! And I didn't know better, but found out before I huffed it.

As I understand it the no-defuel mode is only entered on 5x5. Mine is the "race" DDUFM.
