well i broke down bought a comp. no tap, and went for a ride. Its friggin sweet. power is great and love the low boost smoke. :D BUT before the comp I was runing stock. and egts didnt get past 1100 pre turbo and boost max was 25-26 with a boost fooler. now egts are 1250 max which I think is a normal jump and boost hits 25 and drops down to 20lbs then stays there. I allready made sure all my boots were good and tight. this all happened when the comp went in. any suggestions?

If you don't tap the pump with the comp, all you are doing is adding timing. you can't add any fuel without the tap. Timing will add heat though and that may be what you are seeing. EGT's on my truck only really showed a difference at altitude. Something you might also want to know is that with the comp but no tap, you overhead will remain as accurate as it was before. I've been driving mine like that and just with the comp with timing I have bettered my mileage (hand calculated) by just under 2 MPG driving at 65 on the highway. My boost only went up about 1 PSI from stock. I have the Auto and can't put the elbow on my HY35. When I do finally tap I'm going to add a switch to "untap" the pump so I can get the fuel saver mode, because even on the lowest level the comp adds fuel according to Edge.

Did you install a boost elbow? The little brass part in the line to the waste gate controller. With out the pump taped you do get some extra fueling but only about 60 hp worth. You do get additional timing which should actually work to lower the egt.
