Nitrous install

Flowmater Q&A on website

I haven't called Edge yet, but I installed the Comp late lastnight and could not find the location of the Boost Elbow fitting.

They say it is located at the front lower part of the exposed turbo. Couldn't (and didn't) find any such fitting.

Any insight??

other than the injector wire being difficult to connect to, it wasn't so bad of an install and works pretty well.

Thanks! Except my turbo doesn't have one.

I went online to Edge's directions and they have a special picture (which is not included with my insttructions) that shows adding a turnbuckle to the bottom of the turbo.

I need to call them today and find out what the hell this does!

The turnbuckle does basically the same thing a boost fitting does, but because we have an auto transmission, our boost line is hardwired, so you have to shut it off (the wastegate that is) in a different way... easiest way to do this is with a turnbuckle mechanically closing down the wastegate actuator rod. Some people use a spring and a turnbuckle, but I use just a turnbuckle and I hardwire it on, so it can't move. Do a search for a post by Big_White_Beast (I'm pretty sure that's his name) and you'll get all the good info on doing this BOMB. I did the same as he did with the hook on the end of the turnbuckle, but I don't have the spring. I can take mine off in 2 minutes if I need to for some unforseen reason. Short of a new turbo, it's the best way to get more boost from our HY-35.

I don't think mine spools quicker, but 25 PSI is less then what I get... not sure if you're using the spring or not, cause when I used the spring, max boost was 26-27, and now hardwired with my DD3's max is about 36, with normal being 33 PSI. That is also with my Comp on 5x5. With Comp on 3x3 I get about 30 PSI in 3rd gear, don't really look at boost anymore come 4th gear (egt's too important then)
