Just got a comp I bought used. Now my truck has a check engine light

P0237 code and will not build hardly any boost at all. Checked the connections ,sprayed them with electrical cleaner. Ground is run straight to battery. Model number is right I looked it up . Any thoughts on this would realy help!! It's Version 7. 0. I unhooked the comp and the truck runs better but still have check engine light. I figure I will need to get code cleared to get rid of this light.

I checked all my connections at the map sensor. They are plugged in good and the slide locks were locked on the conectors . The other one that plugs in below the injection pump was also locked into . Ground Is connected to battery and the comp has power. The connector is pushed in good at the back of the comp also.

Thanks Keep the ideas coming though. I didn't hook up the pump wire because

I wan't to run it like an ez.

smarty will clear codes

I sold the smarty to help pay for having some head work done. I need to update my sig sorry about that. I got the comp because I wanted to be able to turn it off and on on the fly. I can get the code cleared with a friends smarty though. I have been trying to dig up any old threads on that code.

Found One that said they had the same thing and it was a dirty or broken pin on the map sensor the green one I think?? I sprayed all the conectors with electrical conection spray before but I guess this could still be it??

I would try a volt/ohm meter and make sure that you don't have a broken wire or pin in any of the MAP sensor connections. I had a similar problem with my TST and a wire that had come loose from one of the pins in the MAP harness. I soldered the wires to the pins and haven't had another problem.

I would first unhook the box, clear the code, and see if it comes back. If it doesn't then the chances of having a broken/bent pin on the truck is unlikly and most likely you have either a bent/broken pin on the comp harness or a defective box <-----then call EDGE.

Remember when you un-hook the box you have to re-connect the MAP plug-not just un-hook the harness off the back of the box... .

The code will clear by itself, I have removed my comp and left the harness in place a couple of times (forgot I had the comp out) and driven my truck. Its a dog, and goes into limp mode. Put the map plug back on the map sensor and it should clear.

Well I took the wiring harness off this morning and started checking the connectoras at the map sensor. I took the back cover off the male connector were the wires go in. When I took it off I and pulled out weather proofing rubber one of the white wires came out also. There are two white wires, this is the one that goes from the female to the male connector. The other one is still connected that goes back through the wiring harness to the comp. I don't think I broke it getting the cover off? I thought I would solder it but Im afraid I will destroy the plug trying to get it out were I can get to it.
