wiring

I believe so, my truck didnt have a pwr seat when I bought it and it does now. the wiring was there, all that I had to do was install the C/B in the fuse panel and install the seat. One was to teel is to look at your hood and see if there is a wire harness going to the leading edge that is not hooked to any thing, if so , you do because that is where the temp sensor is located.

You will need the following to add the trip computer to your vehicle.

Trip computer - I got one from the classifieds for $150. 00 w/console(now a spare).

Temp sensor - #4688204 $16. 10

Temp sensor jumper wire - #56021994AB $21. 60

Upper harness (inside console) - #50130608AA $32. 85

Lower harness (from console to fuse box - #56045921AC $57. 45

I don't know how much the trip computer costs as I got mine used. Works great I missed the Temp and compass from my 96'.

Cost me around 300. 00, just have to determine if its worth the cost. Dealer wanted around 1800-2000 for the install.

Check the junk yards, should be a few more in there now than there was when I was looking. You could get everything from the same place.

lol

CFAR,

Did your truck have a trip computer or just a compass/temp gauge? Or nothing? I currently have the temp/compass in my truck and have often thought that (trip computer) would be a nice addition. What would I need to upgrade to the trip computer? I don't think it was available for my year (98). Does that matter?

I had nothing in mine, I don't know if the earlier trucks have the software or whatever they need to run the full trip computer. Heck I don't even know when they started installing the trip computer.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

My wag: It won't work, but who knows?
