I am still working on my friends 1992 first gen. I did the oil cooler replacement and 4 complete cooling system flushes finishing the last flush with the Fleetguard Restore flush. All the flushing was done with the old parts still in place except, of course, the leaking oil cooler. I have replaced the radiator, all hoses, water pump and thermostat.
So her eis the question. Can we now use the new OAT type long life coolant in this engine?

Thanks Grey Wolf.... My friends 1992 W250 Club Cab LE is a youngster in miles compared to your truck. His is a "Young" 216,000 miles! If you still have the original oil cooler, you could sure save yourself one heck of a mess and a lot of work by replacing it before it cracks.
