So yesterday we checked the oil in our engine (series 40 detroit) and found some white stuff on the stick. We dropped the oil and right off the bat got a quart or so of strait antifreeze along with dark green oil. Today, steam was so thick coming out of the breather tube you couldn't see the engine, the temp was @ 240 and the oil level was overfull by about 3 gal. So we call the boss and he ordered a diesel mechanic to look it over. And depending on what he says they won't send an engine. How much of a brain surgeon does it take to know the engine is F****** and still call a mechanic. This all started from a hose leaking that supplies coolant to the air compressor and a coolant sensor getting bypassed. So what are we looking at for damage besides scored piston(s) and a cracked head?
