My truck has a water leak into the cab and I haven't had the time to work on it. In a heavy rain, it gets quite wet and its not all from the loose door gaskets.
So... friday night it rained heavy. I load up to drive 500 miles and the truck is in and out of torque converter lock-up at all freeway speeds. It acts just like the TPS is out.
As I progress east of the mountains and the weather and truck dry out and we get out of the clouds, the lock-up starts improving. Then after about a 80 miles of total driving, it goes away completely and works great.
Side note: the radio also goes out when its wet/humid out. Dry it out and the LEDs come on and then the thing starts to work.
At mile 400, I drive through a big rain shower. Problem comes back for about 15 minutes. After drying out again, it goes away.
So help me... . what do I gotta do besides move away from seattle to fix this problem... ...
