Computer Datalink Connector

Hi Guys,



I was wondering if anyone could steer me to the datalink connector for access to the computer on an 01'. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, but I guess that I should have explained myself a little more. I found that plug-in, but I believe that one is for the DC computer. I am looking for the plug-in for accessing the Cummins computer. I recently purchased the Quickcheck II software, and am now not able to find where to plug the darn thing in. Any info anyone can pass along is greatly appreciated.

Should be a short pigtail near the ECM on the LH (driver) side of the block. So, I have been told. Timberline Dodge had a crate motor on the showroom floor at the July meet, and the Cummins rep showed me the plug, and that is where it was. Somebody that has actually hooked to this plug may be able to help you better.

Drivers side of the motor about a 12-18" below the vp-44 injector pump. There should be a 2 wire connector with a dummy plug. May be wrapped in some electrical tape as well. On a 98. 5, thats where my was.

Go to Edge EZ and click on Installation Instructions. This should get you close to the data link connector.

Yeah, I was going to say isn't that the same connector that you plug the EZ into? Not hard to find, it's just that everything is wrapped in that black plastic and tape stuff down in that area. Just in front of the power steering pump under the VP-44.

If it's on a '01 it's right on top of the lift pump.
