Computer/Internet Question

I have Road Runner internet service and I was wondering if at night while my computer is shut off, but the router is still on, can virus' get into my computer? I understand during the day while its on they can, but my anti-virus and spyware is also on.

If the computer is off, there is no way for it to get in. . If it is in hibernation or "Sleep" then maybe. .



I have a cable internet and it is on all the time as well. . I have 3 computers networked together and if one of the computers is off, even when it is set up to get into the other, if it is off, no way to get into that computer.
