I have a system I am putting together.

I have a Radeon 8500 64mb for video card.

I would really like to capture a couple of videos of of CMT... ... and then maybe ocasionally some other stuff I find interesting.

I been looking for a video capture card and stumbled across this one :

If I understand it correctly I can use this card as well as my Radeon together... ... . correct?

It offers TV tuner and a FM radio tuner... . I assume you can record both?

Any pros or cons I should know about?

Holding off on ordering it until I have more info.

Kat, that is a pretty good video capture/tuner card for the money. I have a ATI TV wonder VE card, and the support for it is not that great and it has a few bugs. From what I've read from other users, the one you are looking at is much better for the money. You can use it with your Radeon card and record programs to your computer. It is also nice to watch TV and surf the internet at the same time:) :)

Only reason I wanna buy a "seperate" tuner/capture card is with all the new video stuff coming, I don't wanna be afraid to upgrade the primary video card one day. This way if I do upgrade I still have the tuner/capture ability.

I think I'll pick this one up.

I have the ATI 8500 all-in-wonder video card and works fine for video capture. The files are big so saving them is a problem. I just use it for things I want to see once and then erase. I think if you have a dvd writter it might be possible to save the programs.
