Well, I am still new at this so I hope this is the right forum...

I received the KILBY'S CONDENSER GUARD for a present and was toying with the idea of painting the Dodge logo on it before I install it (obviously). My question is, does anyone have a recommendation on the type of paint to use? I don't want to go through the trouble and have it burn off after a short time.

Also, has anyone else done anything like this before?

Thanks in advance.

Condens2r Guard

I havent seen a Kilby's Guard personally but I painted one that I fabricated from Stainless Steel with Rustoleum Satin Black in a rattle can, no problem with heat burning it off. I think you will be okay with any "good" paint as long as the surface is prepped properly.

Holy Cow!! That is a beautiful piece of work! You wanna make a few more? :-laf

If I hadn't already bought a Kilby's, I would jump at the chance for one like yours.

Yeah, no kidding. That really looks great. Thanks for the input. I am assuming that you mean to scuff the paint, prime and then paint. Did you use the regular Rustoleum or did you use the high heat?
