So, I'm trying to be cool and due a burnout and I ended up slipping the crap outa the clutch. Simular to my attempts at 3rd gear 4x4 launches at the track. And to boot a by stander saw sparks. I'm assuming from the desc. of where the sparks came from it was just the crappy NAPA brake pads when I jumped on the breaks. Can a clutch spark out the bottom there?

All I did was get the truck to roll a little to help get a 2 tire burn out, run the RPM's up to about 2500 and not DROP, but release the clutch very fast and go WOT, all this in 3rd. I was at 3200 for a few moments and got out of thigns when the tires didn't light up and I just was rolling on the breaks.

So, I take it the ConFE doesn't like high RPM slippage? The Stock clutch lite up the stock tires very by just dropping it at 2500 or so. Now I have the nitto 295s and a ConFE. What gives?

Am I just doing something really funky here?

BTW, I suppose I just glazed things over, but my normal grabby backup into my driveway was VERY SMOOTH. 2nd gear starts at traffic lights are still a 2 grab and go enguagement. This feels fine after this abuse.

Suggestions on how to do that good burn out? will a non-drop, fast enugagment at 1800-2000rpm work better should I desice to be "cool" in the future?

Also, if I do just drop things, typicaly I get a one wheel wonder as you should with this american axel posi. So, hence, my burn out while rolling a little to get that posi to hook.

The Way I Have Been Doing This Is To Let The Clutch Out In Third Then Get On Both The Brake And The Fuel Pedal At The Same Time. A Soon As The Turbo Lights The Tires Are Up In Smoke. :d Takes Alittle Practice

Desided to give SBC clutch a call. Had a nice talk with Peter. The funny thing he said is that I prolly just finally seated the clutch in. :) We'll that's good to know. Oo.

Also, the spraks, yeah, from the clutch. :) Now I want pictures!

I think my next clutch will be a Double Disk.
