In last TDR magazine is article about revised lift pump #3990082. Month ego I purchased one pump to carry with me . This pump carry #3990105. Did this # mean better pump then 082 or they go down with #'s on latest models ? Normally I thought, if you upgrade product, you put bigger #.

The 3990105 is the newest version. As for the article, it was written before the new pump came out. It just takes awhile for an article like that to be written, submitted and published. Most auto mags coverage events are 3 to 4 after the the event. A lot of things can change in that time. The part number may have changed but the rest of the info was pretty valuable.

Isenus, that could be the reason for difference in #'s. I order only pump without harness. I bought from TST, $150 included shipping.

In june I bought a spare pump. I also bought the harness thinking that if I were to add booster pump I could use it to tap into the circuit instead of cutting the truck harness.
