Went to 2 seperate Cummins dealers today to order a Fuel Filter/Seperator and gave them the part number FS19579 --No such animal, back to my office for more research, come to find out that FS19579 must superceed FS1268 which superceeded FS1261--which I ordered. Man what in the world is up with that:confused: Is Fleet Guard owned by Ford!!

FS19579 is not even in thier most recent books, so who knows what I will get, but 2 of the these filters are less money than 1 from the dealer--which they don't stock anyway.

Sorry for venting, but this is ridiculous.

Actually the 126x filters are "summer filters". They are the same filter but the seals will break down in very cold weather. About $6. 00 cheaper than 19579. I've been running them all summer. Seem to be fine.
