When I went for the biannual emissions test I was told it could not be done due to an exhaust stack. They call this "inaccessible". I called the DMV to find out for sure and he said it was. Another reason could be "dilution". He could not answer whether I could disconnect the exhaust before the stack and have the test done under the truck or if one could remove the stack attach an exhaust hose to the flange and run the hose out the tailgate. Forget getting a waiver. You need an estimate for $863.

Do you guy's know what to do? I have until July 16 till the registration is void.

why does this not surprise me. I grew up in Pa. and every safety inspection I had to put the hot rods back to stock to pass inspections. I hate to say it but you may have to reinstall your stock exhaust.

I would call a different facility that tests diesels and ask if they can test a truck with a stack. That way you can confirm or not what they are saying.

Hi Guy's. It's been a while. CT won't test trucks w/ Stack (s) anymore. I tried everything. Even asked a high volume Diesel repair shop.
