I am installing a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on my 2001 truck. I got an Isspro gauge and [I believe it is called] isolator. Where is the best place to go through the firewall with the line, and is there a best, or most convenient, place to make the electrical connection for the light?

I am mounting the gauge on top of the steering column with a commercial mount, as I am only installing the one gauge at this time. Any tips on routing to that point?

I have installed a Vulcan big line kit between the filter housing and the VP44; it will provide my connection point on the pressure end.

I read where some use a needle valve in this circuit to protect the gauge. The vendor did not recommend that; now I find myself wondering about it. Thoughts?

I used a step drill and drilled just left (toward outside) of the steering column. I didn't used a needle valve, just get as much air out as you can.

I had a piece of larger plastic tube and used it as a sleave, then used some black silcone to hold the sleave in place.

A grommet would be great, but the hole would have to be bigger. .
