I have been eyeing an RB1 nav setup for a while. I know they are Sirius ready, but... what do you need to buy (tuner I assume) and how does it plug into the headunit? Does it take the place of the 10-pin going to the changer I have now?

Anyone have this setup now that can shed some light? Thanks!

Thanks, thats pretty helpful. I have an aftermarket changer that uses the 10 pin connector on the back of the factory headunit. I assume with the junction box option, I can plug it in there instead and run the sirius wire to the headunit.

Isn't there an easier or cheaper method than having to buy the $175 kit AND the $124 kit?

The RB-1 is the head unit for the radio and nav. You can find them on E-Bay cheaper then at the dodge dealership. I have purchased 2 head units off of e-bay 1 for my tj wrangler and 1 for my 2004. 5 3500 dodge. I also had to buy the recivers and you may find them on e-bay also. I bought my last reciver from a tdr member who had it in the classifieds section of this site and I saved around $100. 00.

When I was looking into adding the SIRIUS to the RB1 and CD changer already installed I found the costs of buying the multiplexer/switch and the adapter cables needed that then go between the CD changer and this box and an other that goes between the SIRIUS tuner and the box was about half again more that buying the two kits. You also will need the special cable (pn 82208322) that goes from the box to the 10 pin on the RB1 if you want the "ARTIST/TITLE' info to show on the display.

Holy Moly, as if the unit isnt expensive enough as it is... . Anyone know of any aftermarket units that interface with the steering wheel controls?
