Looks like that will require a trip to the upholstery shop. When you get it back leave a towel over it. The oils from your skin will do this over time. ;)

My console has a tear in it. Can this be fixed. any suggestions

Yes, this can be repaired if you get hold of a good upholstery person. Try going to a new car dealership, as many of them have people who come to their place of business, that can repair these kinds of things. I accidently burned a spot on my seat with a high intensity flashlight, and went to the Dodge dealer to see what I could do, and they had a person who comes to their place of business 2 times a month to do repairs such as yours, and the guy repaired my seat, and it looks like new. He did it right in the truck, and only took about a half hour.

Ditto what Wayne wrote above.

Used car managers in car dealerships know of detailers and specialty auto repairers that routinely hide scratches, minor dings, upholstery tears, repair malfunctioning car stereo systems, and other items. They are usually very specialized, very good at what they do, and their services are priced reasonably.

Thanks. I was hopeing it could be repaired, I have a call in at this time. This is a 04 with 145K so it has lasted a long time. The tear is under my elbow.

Same thing happened to my console only worse. Bought a cover for it from a member on here. Nice and very reasonable price. Search console cover if interested.

Yep, I've kept a towel over mine since day one. Not only does it keep the body oil off the console, it keeps off the salty sweat in the summer which will discolor it (tan color interior). I throw the towel in the washing machine occasionally.
