My 2002 24V auto, 4x4 QC with 145500 miles, no modifications other than K&N air filter , trailer brake controller, CB radio ; cosmetic upgrades.

Warm, cold, wet, morning, night dosen't seem to matter, sometimes the "relay" just clicks back and forth for a few seconds and occasionally what seems to be a minute. I've unplugged the CB and the brake controller separately and together and have not noticed a big difference. Heck sometimes it won't click for a few days. The clicking seems to be right behind the headlight switch and maybe a little below.

Any suggestions would be a big help.

Does the headlamp switch have a built in circuit breaker? I'm not sure. I had this happen on a '79 Ford a few years back. New switch took care of the problem!!! jps

Thanks guys, I'll check the connector. Also for got to mention it does it even when the engine is turned off and the ignition keys are removed.

I have the same problem with mine. Its a light clicking from the same area. It goes away when I turn my seat heater off. I have my heater tied into my fan fuse for the trigger wire and my main power wire is tied into my battery cable for amp under the seat.

the only relay that is under there is the one for the signal lights. I had the same problem with the clicking but all the signal lights where working. I replaced that relay and it fix that problem.

Good Luck

Keith

Change the relay & you'll be fine... . you are hearing a signal spike on/off.

When I got my truck (used) it had a similar clicking and it turned out to be a aftermarket alarm system that was in alarm condition and had a relay cycling to sound a horn or siren but the siren wire was cut so i had no clue it even had a alarm. I cut all kinds of non-factory stuff out from under the dash including a lojack that was pulling 12 volts off the batt with no fuse?? and some other keyfob remote starter. It all went in the barrel.

Ok, I'm confused. You said in the title "constant relay clicking unsolved"

Which means you figured it out... but they you are asking about it???
