Does anybody have contact information of someone in engineering at Dodge? Specifically, 5500 electronics? The situation is my company is looking for engineering support in up fitting New Dodge 5500 cab and chassis. We are working on new trucks and customer trucks, so we will not do anything to void a warranty.

As you can imagine, getting a hold of someone at a car manufacturer right now is impossible. I figured I would reach out to the TDR community and see if anybody has a phone number of someone that could help us.

We need to use a manual transmission truck with a split shaft drive to run a fire pump. We believe that in current configuration the truck electronics freak out of the truck sees engine movement and not road speed.

Thanks!

Thanks, but we already have. That is basic info about weights and integrating tail lights. We need a level or two higher.

I think if you spend some time navigating around through all the information and sub screens on the Dodge builder website you will find a phone number or e-mail address that will get you through to someone who can and will answer questions of a "truck" nature.

The commercial truck website (3500/4500/5500C&C) website is a little different than the general Dodge car website.

If you are indeed a fleet buyer you can go through your fleet salesman. he will have contacts that you will not have access to.

When we bought our 08 5500 there was a printed sheet in the glove box or in a plastic bag in the cubby behind the seat with all the goodies as well as a full layout of the wiring for upfitters... .

This included a web sight with all the specifications... . we were looking for the toggle to set up fast idle for a PTO pump... . we wanted to be able to flip a switch and get fast idle for the correct engine speed to give us the PTO speed we were after... . as I remember there are 3 or 4 different speeds with wires from the ECM... . you ground a lead and a fast engine speed... .

Anyway this was all spelled out on their web sight as well as frame data...

The fleet guy in the dealership should have this web sight... . for us that was almost 2 years ago... .

Hope this helps...
