Control arm bushings rubber or polyurethane ? Which is better ?

I did poly on my '96 and was happy with them. It was an improvement and didn't find any negative effects. Honestly I didn't know people used rubber replacements.
Changing them was a royal PITA. Many of the bolts were seized in the metal bushings and had to be cut with a zip disc in the grinder to get them out.

Try doing an ebay search for control arms for dodge ram.I got four tubular powder coated ones for my old truck and they came with poly bushings and had grease fittings. Can't remember what I paid for them but wasn't too bad, cheaper than oem and I wanted to put in something better than stock, and the poly bushings alone are pricy, so to me it made sense to buy better arms with already installed bushings. Haven't done this on my current truck yet but will go the same route, was pleased with the results

On my 96' I did factory replacement rubber. Next time I'd go Poly. Poly is cheaper and should last longer. Poly can squeak. Not a problem with a 12v or 24v.

Thanks for the replies I thought I read somewhere that the ploy wasn't as good . After reading the replies I'll go with poly when I decide to replace em

I've never installed poly bushings, but aren't you supposed to lightly grease them to prevent them squeaking?

I put moly paste/grease on them and a generous amour of nickel anti seize on the bolt bodies and threads.
