I installed a KORE HP kit about 1 month ago and just mounted a set of Hankook 35x12. 50R17 and now they are rubbing my fender. I started looking around for longer control arms and was considering going w/ KORE until I came across some from Top Gun Customz for 240. 00, less than half price of KORE's. I was wondering if any of you all have experience w/ Top Gun Customz products and whether these control arm's are worth considering or not.

Ya, that would be nice, but a little too rich for my wallet. It's going to take me some time to save up the 600. 00 for the one's from KORE !!!

Carli's got some new ones that are $700 which are made of a less expensive material which should be sufficient for the vast majority of us.

Another option is to sell your current wheels and use the money and the difference in new wheels. It will probably be close to buying control arms. Get a 5. 5"-6" backspacing wheel w/ 17x8. 5 size (no rubbing of the fender well and control arms w/ that size wheels). I know Welds Wheels is having a blowout sell going on. You can p/u a new set for around $1,000 w/ correct spacing and width. May come out cheaper w/ the difference when you sell your current wheels than buying control arms that might not work (depending how much you have to clear the fender well).

KORE Chase Arms= $550

Carli Arms= $700, new ones

Thuren Arms= $700, powder coated

Top Gunz, have no idea on quality, but you do have a price on them.

If your interested in Weld Wheels. I have a friend who can get them in the size for Dodge 2500's. PM me... ...

FWIW I would stay away from control arms with spherical joints in Florida or the northern rust belt unless you want to take them apart every six months to clean them. Even if you grease them the ball portion does rust bad. They transmit more road shock on a street driven vehicle too.

You could say that about any bushing setup with a steel sleeve in the middle. The type of joints we run utilize a spherical type center with poly bushings surrounding nearly all of the ball. This type of joint helps reduce stiction which is very apparent with the stock type vulcanized bushings. This allows the suspension to move more freely. Translating to a better ride.

Oh yeah, we go down to Baja all the time and run on the beach sections. No rust... ... ...

Top Gunz Long Arms are Rock Krawler and great quality but you do have to relocate the frame attachment bracket and can never go back to stock. I have them and really like the way the truck handles on and off road.

I know I am a little late but figured i'd chime in. Skyjacker sells their arms separate. they can be had fixed length- standard. or with a heim on one end- Single Flex. Or with heims on both ends- Double Flex. They are not the best money can buy but I have them on my 99 QC with a 4. 5 inch single flex kit and like them(i figured i would be replacing joints all the time but after 30K they seem fine). 3 years running in rust belt, skiing in West VA and going surf fishing in N. C. and submerging them in salt water in hurricane surge (a couple times) and they seem fine to me. The single adjustable heim gives you about an inch or so of length to play with. I run 37x12. 5 pro comp tires with no rubbing issues. Now I don't pre run baja or jump it off sand dunes but my truck absolutely earns its keep. #ad
