Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) convert '01 to ISBe

Does anyone on here have experience with converting a 2nd gen 24 valve to an HPCR motor? I am considering swapping in a brand new '03 model 305hp engine/ecm/harness into my 2001 pickup. What all is involved in the swap? I realize it'd be fairly in-depth, but I don't think its too far out of reason The only issue should be getting the electronics to get along! Anyway, just thought I'd toss it out there to see if anyone has some info or has done it.

I know a HPCR engine has been put in a 1st gen truck before. Can't see why it won't work. Have enough time and money, just about anything is possible.



What is wrong with your current engine?

Nothing wrong with the current engine besides noise and the VP limiting me to around 700hp!
