There's quite a few threads on this already, a search will answer your questions.

I'll brake it down for ya though, get a drw axle, front spacer, and bed. Bolt them on with drw wheels/tires and there ya go.

Thanks 13MWZ,, Guess I will just stick with my SRW.

There's another way to do it (easier). Some companies offer a spacer you bolt onto your axles, the spacer has studs on the outside of it to bold on the dually wheels to. Then you can get bolt on fenders or get a drw bed (a lot of places who sell flat beds can probably sell you one). Easier than swaping axles... . but more expensive. If you were able to find somebody around you with a drw wanting to swap to a srw that would be cheapest... yall could just swap parts. Here's a couple companies who have 'conversion kits'.

Idid the opposite and converted my 03 drw to srw a few years ago. A few of the differences I noted is that the dually axle is indeed a bit wider and the fronts are just bolt on spacers. Other then the bed, the tailgate has the additional light bars. One thing to take note of that everyone over looks is that duallys have different abs programming for the rear wheels.
