4 BT swaps Who has done them and in what ?

Perfect for 4BT, 6BT Swap 4DR. Bronco

Last winter I pulled a 10cylinder from a 3500 and replaced it with a 12 valve cummins.

I replaced the engine wire harness and pcm, but left the in cab wire harness from the 10 cylinder

I have a few dash lights that stay illuminated(brake, 4x4,airbag,ABS)

They may have been illuminated before i pulled the 10 cylinder motor

i also cannot pull codes as the truck is a 97 and the engine is 94

how can i troubleshoot to correct these lights?

Note: the truck runs very good, brakes are good etcc.

thanks in advance

taking the bulbs out is not fixing the problem.

I was looking for some technical assistance with the electrical connections and possible various test to see if there is an electrical connection issue because of mixing a 94 vintage with a 97. (maybe wire harnesses changed etc. . )

the best place to start is with a wiring diagram for both years and see if all the wires are in the same locations in the connectors. the 97 sent all comunication down a bus line which all modules are hooked to, if there is no response from a module the corresponding light will illuminate. the cluster has a module in it to determine which light to illuminate. so like catdsl suggested maybe removing the bulbs would be the best route or get the correct year harness and ecm for the vehicle.
