Well, I had the wife take the truck into the dealership for its second oil change last week (freebie with dodge coupon)



Her first time driving it.



After all was said and done, I asked her how she like driving the new dodge diesel over the old 99 gas dodge?

Nice smooth response, great steering, great smooth ride and excellent throttle response!.

An boy did she feel the power..... of the mighty cummins.

PS. She loves manual trannies.



This took any away reservations of hers about buying a new truck...

I took the girlfriend out the other day and taught her how to drive a stick, her first time to drive a diesel. I can't keep her outta the truck now, before she would have little comments about my big, noisy truck. She sings a new tune now, always wants to ride in and now drive it. Looks like I created a monster, lol.

I have to travel out of town quite a bit on business. The wife drives my dually instead of her minivan. The only time she doesn't is when she has to go through the drive thru at the bank (chicken! )



As for the manual - when I test drove my truck I told the salesman that before I could by it my wife would have to dirve it first. He looked dejected. As soon as I drove up to the house and my wife took a look, he knew he had the sale!

My wife is pretty easy going, I don't need this new truck but wanted the Diesel, hopefully she will like it. More than likely she will, the only thing I am worried about is her filling it up with gas! I am going to get my label maker out and plaster "DIESEL ONLY" all over the place until she get used to it.
