Check this out: 1979 Ramcharger Convertible
Someone's already done the work. This thing might make a fast drag truck. Looks like it would be several hundred (fifteen hundred?) pounds lighter than a comparable Ram 3/4 ton. Prolly need a beefier rear end to take the punishment, but looks like a pretty cool start. It has the early VP rotary pump, and no intercooler, but these things could be remedied.
