I rotate my tires every 5K along with the oil change and have a nice floor jack and stands which helps. About two rotations back, I decided I needed a good 4-way wrench to make it go a little faster and bought one.
Tonight, I was beginning to rotate the tires and went back to the shop to look for a pair of cotton gloves to keep the wrench spinning a little longer in my hand.
Then I noticed the piece of 3/4" pvc laying on the bench. I cut a piece the same length as one side of the wrench, split it from one end to the other and snapped it on the 4-way. One good spin will take a lugnut completely off.
Sometimes the cheap tricks really pay off.
