By cool I mean around 60*. This started last winter, rough idle for the first couple minutes, check engine light comes on and a 1690 code. Once underway it runs great. If the engine heater was plugged in overnite the startup would be just fine.

This winter a really bad stumble has started every 5-10 sec. for fist few minutes along with the rough idle. The tack has always swung 50 rpm up and down at idle. I know with the code the CKP sensor may be at fault but is there another sensor for temp that would give a bad reading? The grid heater comes on in the mid 50's temperatures.

Two times last winter when the temps dropped to freezing in the morning I could not turn off the DDUFM or change the settings. Pushed all the buttons but nothing would happen. After everything warmed up it worked just fine. Disconnected all the wiring on it except the pump tap and still a rough idle the next morning.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Cool

I love it :-laf Guess cool is a relative term, I think 60 is awesome this time of year. Ahh, I do love the desert of the southwest, gotta find a job out there and leave this armpit behind. :{

There is a temp. sensor under the drivers battery I believe. My grids come on when its 50 also.

:-laf :-laf :-laf When I read that you plug in your truck :-laf :-laf

Sorry, I don't mean any harm, I really do love it out there, can't wait to get back. I am gonna go cry now. (cause I am stuck here):{

Good Luck

Hello Rick, a fellow Marylander. I grew up on a dairy farm on the eastern shore.

Yea, It's going to be rough for the next 6 months. Highs in the 60's-70's and lows in the 40's :cool: ;) ;) But then we do have to put up with the summers :eek:

Disconnected the pump wire this morning before starting and she idled great. Shut it down reconnected the wire and she still ran OK. Will try it again the next couple of mornings just to make sure its not just a fluke. Called Edge last March about this and they said to send the box back and they would replace it. Didn't want to do that since the temps warmed up enough to where the problem went away before I could see if the box was at fault or not. Didn't want to take advantage of the good folks at Edge if I wasn't sure that was the problem.

Sent you a PM

Thanks,

Pete

Disconnected the pump wire the other morning and she started and ran just fine. Reconnected and the last two cold starts with no problems. Seems the engine is smoother also. I think it might have been a bad connection all this time. Will see how it does with more time.
