I've come to the conclusion that no shops in Az know how to hotrod a first gen. Go to any turbo or diesel shop in Phoenix and ask about parts for twin turbo setup and you will get the deer in the head lights look for about 45 seconds. Then you get some burbling about some guy who use to work somewhere at sometime. Or the "I got a friend with a turbo honda... " Then they get some guy from the back who will ask you what year your truck is and what are you trying to do. As you reply you get another "deer in the head lights" look. Some then alter the subject to the new Cummins and all the new winker-dinkers you can bolt on to it . The conversation allways end with " sorry dude, can't help you"

I think it is the public perception mentioned by another member. "you mean Dodge made trucks before 94?" Never fear, with the stuff on the forums, you can get there.

Steve,

You might try desertdieselparts.com. He is north west of Phoenix and I think he works with Piers to get parts (some parts) He has second and third gen stuff but also can get other things for first gens. He may or may not be able to help, but he is close to you and I thought you might want to try him. Now, having said that, you can use Piers like bgilbert said, they can ship just about anything thing you need. I use them all the time. Harry, Mark, Bushwacker all have first gens and are always a great help.

I recieved the same treatment when looking into the FASS unit for my '92 truck..... untill I got a phone call from the designer of the unit. Nobody else wanted to talk to me about it. Makes one wonder if they "know" much about it.
